Counter Sample

In case of rate Contracts or where a single supply order covers a number of consignees an exact fascimile of approved sample is obtained from the contractor and got approved from the Technical Committee, by appending their signatures in glass marking pencil or lead seal. This sample is named as Counter sample and is kept in the custody of the Contractor to enable the Inspecting Officer to compare the bulk supplies with it. This fact is clearly mentioned in the Rate contract/ supply order for the information of all concerned.
