    Disposal of Samples

The samples of the unsucessful tenderers are returned to the parties imme diately after the case is finalised and the parties approach the official in charge of the samples. No sample is despatched at the expenses of the, department. In case the parties do not collect the sample a notice is served on them to remove the sample within one month from the issue of notice. If even then the sample is not removed it is recorded as unclaimed sample under the orders of DS&D and it becomes the property of the Government. Such samples as have not been disposed of can, however, be returned later on after obtaining the orders of D S & D in writing in suitable and deserving cases.

The approved sample should be returned to the contractor after the supply has been completed satisfactorily against an affidavit in form SP 21.
